September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Every Handprint Tells a Story

September is a time when we reflect on the graveness of this disease and think about the brave children who face it. Through no fault of their own, cancer strikes at a time when kids just want to be kids. They have dreams, goals and so much to contribute. Every 36 minutes in this country a child is diagnosed with cancer.

Hyundai and its US dealers created Hyundai Hope On Wheels in 1998. From the sale of every new vehicle, a donation is made to fight cancer. To date, more than $130 million has supported research at Children’s Hospitals across the nation.

Awarded Grants during September

Children should be able to dream and grow up in a world free of pediatric cancer. That’s why Hyundai and its U.S. dealers started Hyundai Hope on Wheels in 1998. Through the benevolence of our dealer partners, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has donated over $130 million to life-saving pediatric cancer research. Please follow us on our 19th annual journey across the country as we award over $8 million in grants this September.

Heroes of Hope

Parker and Luke are brave cancer survivors. Like so many others, they approached this disease with courage and determination and are proof that there is hope. Their brave stories inspire our work to end childhood cancer and to show them that they are not alone in this fight.
