Hyundai Hope on Wheels Races Toward A Cure for Childhood Cancer at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 21, 2026 – Hyundai Motor America made an impression across the Indianapolis community throughout the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120 race weekend, bringing new awareness to the battle against childhood cancer on and off the track.

Hyundai Hope on Wheels featured its new National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month campaign, The Mark of a Warrior, by partnering with Bryan Herta Autosport’s (BHA) No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR to debut a special-edition livery centered around the organization’s iconic handprint.

Before Saturday’s race, Hyundai continued its Hope on Wheels tradition with a special handprint ceremony at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and presented Riley Hospital for Children with a donation of $300,000. Thus far into the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has raised $77,800 to support childhood cancer research and treatment.

The No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR led the Hyundai pack in qualifying for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120, securing fourth on the grid, with the remaining Hyundai Elantra N TCRs following:

Race Summary and Key Results
Hyundai continued its season-long streak of podium finishes at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, with BHA’s No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Preston Brown and Denis Dupont battling to a second-place finish in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120. After starting eighth, Brown and Dupont worked their way through the field to secure the runner-up result and another podium result for Hyundai in the penultimate round of the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) season.

The No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Mason Filippi and Bryson Morris finished fifth after being in the podium hunt all race until receiving a drive-through penalty stemming from an incident with the No. 72 car. The No. 18 Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Harry Gottsacker and Lance Bergstein finished eighth, and the No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Maddie Aust and Mark Wilkins rounded out Hyundai’s four top10 finishes in ninth.
