FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 16, 2026 – Hyundai Motor America (HMA) enters the penultimate round of the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway pursuing championship titles while expanding awareness for pediatric cancer through Hyundai Hope on Wheels. Hyundai currently leads both the TCR Manufacturers’ Championship and Drivers’ Championship standings while activating its nationwide The Mark of a Warrior campaign during National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120 race will take place Sept. 19, 2026.

Hyundai Hope on Wheels Brings The Mark of a Warrior Campaign to Indianapolis
As National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is observed across the United States, HMA is highlighting its new The Mark of a Warrior campaign throughout the race weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The campaign honors young cancer warriors while inviting communities nationwide to join the fight.

At the center of the campaign is the Hyundai Hope on Wheels handprint, a longtime symbol of hope and resilience for pediatric cancer patients. The campaign’s 60-second cinematic hero film, Little Warrior, celebrates the extraordinary spirit of children battling pediatric cancer and recognizes the communities supporting them throughout their journey.

The No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR driven by Mason Filippi and Bryson Morris will compete with a special Hyundai Hope on Wheels The Mark of a Warrior handprint livery designed to increase visibility and awareness of the initiative.

As part of race-week activities, Filippi and Morris will visit Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Hyundai Hope on Wheels will also hold a special handprint ceremony and provide a donation to Riley Hospital for Children before the race, continuing a tradition established last season. The team will welcome Isabella, a 2026 Hyundai Hope on Wheels National Youth Ambassador, to participate in race-weekend activities.

For the third consecutive season, Hyundai Hope on Wheels is donating $100 for every lap led by a Hyundai race car during the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season. Following the most recent event at Virginia International Raceway, the initiative has generated $77,800 in support of pediatric cancer research and treatment programs nationwide. Hyundai Hope on Wheels will continue those fundraising efforts through a donation supporting Riley Hospital for Children during the Indianapolis event.

Championship Leaders Arrive at Indianapolis: Race Weekend Preview
Hyundai currently leads the TCR Manufacturers’ Championship, while Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA) teammates Mason Filippi and Bryson Morris lead the Drivers’ Championship in the No. 33 Hope on Wheels Hyundai Elantra N TCR.

The No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Filippi and Morris enters Indianapolis at the front of the championship standings with 2,470 points. The duo has put on an impressive season, most recently finished second at VIRginia International Raceway in the Virginia Is For Racing Lovers Grand Prix to extend their lead heading into the final two rounds of the season.

Just behind them in the Drivers’ Championship are Preston Brown and Denis Dupont in the No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N TCR. The BHA duo sits second with 2,210 points, putting two Hyundai Elantra N TCR entries at the top of the standings as the season approaches its conclusion.

Maddie Aust and Mark Wilkins return in the No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR while Harry Gottsacker and Lance Bergstein will continue in the No. 18 Hyundai Elantra N TCR. With all four entries looking to maximize points, Hyundai will look to maintain its advantage in the Manufacturers’ Championship, where it currently leads Honda by 120 points.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway presents a unique challenge for the TCR field with its 2.439-mile, 14-turn road course. With only two rounds remaining, every position and championship point will become increasingly important as Hyundai looks to carry momentum into the final race of the season.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120 will take place Sept. 19, 2026, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, with the green flag set for 2:30 p.m. EST. Live streaming coverage will be available on Peacock and YouTube.
