- Hyundai Hope on Wheels donates $100,000 to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and $1,400 for laps led during Indianapolis Motor Speedway race weekend
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 24, 2025 – Hyundai made its mark off the track at the penultimate race of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Hyundai Hope on Wheels presented $100,000 to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, highlighted by a handprint and check ceremony on Saturday before the race. Jackson Trinh, Hyundai Hope on Wheels National Youth Ambassador, was on hand signing autographs with the drivers and engaging fans throughout the weekend, while also sharing his story about his fight against pediatric cancer. The No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR sported a fresh Hyundai Hope on Wheels livery, which will remain on the car through the season finale at Road Atlanta.

The race itself proved to be a rollercoaster for the Hyundai stable. Both the No. 33 of Mark Wilkins and Bryson Morris and the No. 9 of Madison Aust and Suellio Almeida led the TCR field early, combining to lead 14 laps. Mechanical issues sidelined the No. 33 with just over an hour remaining, while the No. 9 was pushed down the order after late-race contact. The No. 76 of Denis Dupont and Preston Brown was penalized twice while running inside the top five, ultimately finishing 11th. Joining the Hyundai lineup for the weekend, the #10 Rockwell Autosport Development Hyundai Elantra N TCR driven by Eric Rockwell and Christina Lam delivered a solid 10th-place finish. Despite the challenges, the No. 98 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elantra N TCR driven by Mason Filippi and Harry Gottsacker delivered a strong fourth-place finish, showcasing Hyundai’s consistency and competitive pace across the field.
Despite the setbacks, Hyundai left Indianapolis with critical points toward the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR Manufacturer Championship, where the brand continues to hold the lead.

Heading into the final round of IMPC competition, Hyundai maintains a strong position in the Manufacturers’ Championship. Up next, Hyundai will take on Road Atlanta for the final round with the Fox Factory 120 race on Oct. 10, 2025.
