Parker Brockway - Photo Album
Parker, 12, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 2. She went through 23 surgeries, 3 years of chemo and as of 2012 has been cancer free and chemo free. Parker is the older sister to Billy and Lila, is now in middle school and loves to do karate, gymnastics, supporting brain tumor research and is incredibly proud to be a survivor. Every year, Parker helps teams participating in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon and inspires teams to raise both funding and awareness for much needed research for children’s cancer. Over the last four years, one of the celebrity teams has raced in honor of Parker and she is the lucky recipient of two first place gold, one silver, one bronze medal and is on the stage to present the giant check to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles CEO. The pride she feels to represent her hospital and the amazing team that supported all of us through this journey is indescribable. Just this past weekend, Parker was at the beach and supported the many teams racing and working to support CHLA. This photo shows Parker with her four medals and her true strength, courage and dedication to supporting cancer research for children.
