The leaves are turning golden on the trees, clocks have set back an hour, and a morning chill is in the air. That all must mean one thing - that autumn is upon us and we are fast approaching the holiday season.

As you know, September was National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. To honor this special time, Hope On Wheels crisscrossed the nation for over 30 days creating awareness and funding research for pediatric cancer. Our campaign theme for September was - "Every Handprint Tells A Story." This theme reflects the fact that there are so many hands which contribute to the fight to end childhood cancer.

By bringing our hands together, we can all support the brave young child cancer survivors in their fight.

Please join us in congratulating the many doctors, researchers and institutions, who received a grant during September. With 34 grants in September alone, we presented just over $7.5 million in research awards to find cures for pediatric cancer. This, in addition to the 25 other grants awarded this year, brings our total funding to $13 million in 2016.

This year marks our 18th year in the fight against pediatric cancer. During our journey, we met so many wonderful and brave childhood cancer fighters. Their courage inspires us every day in our goal to #endchildhoodcancer. Thanks to supporters like you and Hyundai dealers across the country, we have donated over $115 million in funding to pediatric research to date.

With your help, we can save lives. Visit our website and see how you can make a difference.

All the best,

Giving Tuesday

Finally, as we near the holiday season, please remember the children and families that are fighting this dreaded disease. They need to know during this time of year, in particular, that they are not alone.

As you may know, November 29th is known as Giving Tuesday, a time where many people donate to their favorite charity. Ninety cents on every dollar donated to HHOW goes directly to funding pediatric cancer research. We hope you will consider making a donation to Hope On Wheels.
