Kinley was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia-Hypodiploid at age 6. She didn’t reach remission after the first phase of treatment so her doctor determined she would need a more aggressive form of chemo and started preparing her for a Bone Marrow Transplant. Just 5 months after her diagnosis, Kinley received intense chemotherapy, radiation and had a Bone Marrow Transplant. The transplant was very rough on her body cause several organs to shut down, extreme mouth sores throughout her digestive tract, she had double pneumonia, had to be placed on dialysis, and much more. After 3 rounds of white blood cells, her body began fighting off all the infections and her transplant began to take over. Kinley’s body began to heal and her transplant was a success! She was able to walk out of the hospital and ring the victory bell signifying a successful transplant and NO MORE CHEMO!!! Kinley is now cancer free and a beautiful, active 11 year old competitive cheerleader!
