Grace enjoys dancing, singing, reading, playing on her phone and playing video games with her family. When she grows up Grace hopes to become a videographer or filmmaker and work for the Disney Channel.
Grace says her “uniqueness” comes from her personal style and her approach to life. An important cause in Grace’s life is her very own nonprofit charity, the We Cancerve Movement.
Grace is in complete remission.
Jonah loves to cook and is always trying new recipes in the kitchen. One of his favorite things to do is to cook for others. He also really loves science and Biology is his favorite subject.
Jonah says, “It’s all about having hope and faith. No matter what treatment you are going through, always have hope that you’ll be O.K.”
Jonah has been cancer free for about three and half years now.
Brett loves to read, play video games and learn about Pokémon. He also loves to swim, ride his scooter and play soccer.
Family and friends describe Brett as an “old soul” with wisdom beyond his years. When he was undergoing treatment Brett says he really enjoyed the hospital’s playroom. One of his goals is to raise money to provide other kids with something fun to do while they receive treatment.
Nathan enjoys candle carving, cooking, baking, art, swimming, dodge ball, science, traveling, amusement parks and animals.
When Nathan grows up he wants to study blood illnesses and help find cures for complex diseases.
Nathan’s parents say, “With today’s medical advancements there is so much more hope, more survivors that go on to lead healthy lives after treatment.”
Nathan has been in remission for two years.
Hanna loves to watch funny movies and loves to encourage other children who are fighting their battle with cancer.
She loves crafts and during treatment learned origami. Hanna hopes to share that gift with other kids during their time in the hospital.
Avery loves all kinds of movies and books. She also loves to ride horses and play basketball. Avery would like to become a scientist when she gets older.
Avery says she has made countless trips to the hospital and to clinics but through it all she always remembers one thing, to keep smiling.
Jack loves reading, biking, cooking and playing video games. He plays the tuba and piano and takes Tae Kwon Do.
Jack wants to be a nature photographer when he grows up.
Jack’s message to other cancer patients is to find something everyday to help you stay positive and to do the things that make you happy.
Hannah is an avid dancer, loves acting, singing and playing volleyball. Her ability to inspire others with her experience as a cancer survivor is one of many reasons she was named a Hyundai Hope on Wheels National Youth Ambassador.
Hannah is currently in remission and doing great!
Ryan is a sports nut. He enjoys playing basketball, soccer, football and lacrosse. When not on the field he likes to be around his friends.
Ryan’s never give up attitude is one of many reasons he was named a Hyundai Hope on Wheels National Youth Ambassador. Ryan says he’s excited to travel the country and help to put a smile on kids’ faces
